Die Markthalle von Béziers wurde 2025 in einem Wettbewerb, ausgetragen vom Fernsehsender TF1, zu schönsten Markthalle Frankreichs gewählt.
Die Markthalle wurde im Jahr 2024 komplett renoviert und umgebaut und im November 2024, nach 11 Monaten Bauzeit wieder eröffnet.
Ich persönlich kann mich der Meinung nicht anschließen, aber man kann es halt nich jedem Recht machen. Für mich ist Les Halles de Béziers kein Markt mehr, wie z. B. die Markthalle von Narbonne, sondern mehr eine Party- und Feierlocation, was mir nicht so gut gefällt, und ich habe früher einen großen Teil meiner Einkäufe in den alten Markthallen gemacht. Allerdings sind viele der alten Händler nach der Renovierung nicht mehr zurück und wurden durch Bars, Imbisse, Restaurant ersetzt. Ich finde es schade, aber der Mehrheit gefällts und für Béziers ist eine zusätzliche, tolle Attraktion.

I personally don’t agree with that opinion, but you can’t please everyone. For me, Les Halles de Béziers is no longer a market, like the Narbonne market hall, for example, but more of a party and celebration location, which I don’t particularly like, and I used to do a lot of my daily shopping in the old market hall. However, many of the old vendors didn’t return after the renovation and were replaced by bars, snack bars, and restaurants. I think it’s a shame, but the majority like it, and it’s a great additional attraction for Béziers.
